The Cook lab is searching for a full-time Post Doctoral Fellow to perform independent research related to plant resistance to virus infection. The successful applicant will help lead a federally funded project investigating a novel means to anti-viral resistance using transcriptome engineering. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Plant Pathology, Virology, Genetics or a related field
Proven record characterizing molecular plant-virus interactions
Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using agroinfection of viruses in Nicotiana spp.
Experience working with Potyviruses or Begomoviruses
Experience with high-throughput cloning
Experience using fluorescently tagger virus particles for characterization
Strong desire to learn and take on new challenges
