A graduate research assistantship is available for a PhD student starting in fall 2024 in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University.
We are looking for a highly motivated student, who is interested in specialty crop production, irrigation, and nutrient, and soil management, sensor technology, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Full funding (stipend and tuition) is available for at least 1 year and can be extended based on the performance. Preference will be given to a candidate who: (1) has an interest in developing sensor monitoring technology, and experience in computer programming and IoT, (2) likes field work and is interested in learning about the field data collection and processing, (3) has strong working ethic, and (4) will enjoy working with faculty/students from multiple disciplines.
