4 years fixedterm, fulltime
$97,076 $115,277 (ALB)

We believe that investing in dedicated people and their ideas will make tomorrow better. With this in mind, Curtin University is offering two Research Fellow (ALB) positions in the disciplinary area of biometrics.

As a Research Fellow, your role will contribute to the Statistics for the Australian Grains Industry (SAGI) Western Node research program funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation under the direction of John Curtin Distinguished Professor, Adrian Baddeley. The main purpose of these positions is to support biometrics for the WA grains industry across an agreed range of research themes.

This unique opportunity will allow you to utilise your strong knowledge of biometrics and research skills, and make significant contributions to the SAGI program. You will be working within a multidisciplinary team of energetic researchers and research students.

A doctoral qualification combined with high level research experience in biometrics research is essential. Strong statistical research relevant to the grains industry is paramount to your success in this position.

The Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM) is a national research centre cosupported by Curtin University and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC). Launched in 2014, the centre’s major aim is to reduce the economic impact of crop disease for Australian growers.

Curtin University has a bold vision to be one of the leading institutions in the AsiaPacific region. Curtin is now entering an exciting phase as it focuses on further building its research capacity, and enhancing its already strong reputation for innovation in learning and teaching.
