Engineering/Engineering Extension Biosystems Engineering Agricultural - General
The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering seeks to hire an Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Technology and Engineering. This is a B-base, 9-month, tenure-track position. The position is described as 60% Teaching and 40% Research.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses for technology and applied engineering students in areas such as manufacturing processes (metals and/or plastics), electronics, problem-solving, facility planning, and capstone. Research responsibilities should relate to the needs of modern manufacturing. Engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning would be valued.
The successful candidate is expected to excel at teaching undergraduate students, establish a solid publication record, secure competitive grants, and recruit and advise graduate students. The candidate is also expected to work in a collegial manner to fulfill committee assignments, support the mission of the department, college, and university, and provide leadership to professional societies.
