Posting Detail Information
Position Summary
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scholar to join an innovative agricultural sciences research team seeking solutions to the problem of rising food demand in the face of environmental stressors including heat, drought and nutrient limitation. The project is funded by NSF through the Plant Genome Research Project to SUNY at Buffalo (UB), University of Wyoming, UC Davis, and Dartmouth. The selected scholar will be based at UB. The research will focus on the integration of plant phenotyping data including leaf gas-exchange, imagery, thermal, hyperspectral and fluorescence, into modeling frameworks for the purpose of plant trait screening and connecting the phenome to the genome. A variety of statistical modeling approaches will be used to reveal the connection between both measured and modeled phenotypic traits to genetic mechanisms. The positions will require close collaboration with a research team of plant physiologists, computer scientists, genomicists, and modelers.

Minimum Qualifications
