The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University is an interdisciplinary school that aims to be a world leader in environmental research focused on Asian environmental challenges. The ASE integrates earth and environmental life science, ecology, engineering and technology, human ecology, humanities, and the social sciences to address key issues of the environment and sustainability.
ASE is hiring a postdoctoral research fellow to lead a new, Nparks-funded project entitled: “Comparison of litterfall nutrient cycling between forests and urban green spaces in Singapore”. The research fellow will lead the team of three research assistants to collect data for this project, manage project deadlines and deliverables, and analyse and publish research based on this project.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a project team in field and lab data collection

Manage project deadlines and deliverables

Analyze data and publish findings in international peer reviewed journals

Train students and staff, and ensure the safe conduct of student research projects
Job Requirements:

PhD in Ecology, or equivalent field is mandatory

Strong publication records and the ability to independently and critically analyze ecological questions

Good interpersonal and organizational skills

Competent in ecological statistics and R (multivariate analyses, structural equation modelling, generalized linear mixed effects modelling, inverse modelling)

Able to do regular (up to thrice weekly) fieldwork

Positive attitude towards acquiring diverse skills and techniques necessary for project execution.

Prior experience with entomological, molecular taxonomical, botanical or soil work is advantageous
