    [b]Position Summary:[/b]

    Develop a nationally recognized teaching and research program focusing on current and emerging issues critical in agricultural commodity markets and price analysis. Develop a quality teaching program of 2 to 3 courses per year that contribute to the department's growing focus on Agricultural Commodity Risk Management and collaboration with the College of Business and Economics' Barker Capital Management and Trading Program, and will advise undergraduate and graduate students. The research program is expected to result in extramural grant funding, graduate research, and high quality publications in scholarly journals.

    [b]Minimum Qualifications:[/b]


    A PhD in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business, or a closely related field is required by start of employment.

    Specialization or focus in agricultural markets, price analysis, and/or finance.

    Excellent training in quantitative methods, econometrics, and applied microeconomic theory.

    [b]Preferred Qualifications:[/b]


    Potential for or demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.

    Potential for or record of nationally recognized research, including publications in high quality refereed journals.

    Expertise in the economics of agricultural commodity markets and risk management.

    Potential for or demonstrated ability for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

    Potential for or demonstrated ability to interact effectively with industry.
