Research Associate

(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position. Continuation will be dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)
WORK LOCATION: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for supporting research and development projects related to medicinal plant and natural products.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must hold a master’s degree and have thesis research related to medicinal plants including sample preparation, purification, analysis, and bioactivity evaluation (in vitro and in vivo). Experience and willingness to work with laboratory animals (e.g., rodents, rabbits) are highly desirable. Reliability and effectiveness in conducting supportive research is highly desirable. Demonstrated research capability (e.g., peer-reviewed publications as lead author or co-author) is highly desirable.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
