The postdoctoral position is for a candidate to be involved in different projects conducting research related to animal cell/plant cell molecular biology in relation to drug discovery of bioactive compounds from plants and plant products. This will include molecular target identification of natural products from plants with health promoting properties and focus on human chronic diseases. The candidate must have of preference a cell molecular biology background at the PhD level. The candidate must have an in depth experience in the use and data interpretation of standard molecular biology techniques including gene and protein expression, chemical and biochemical assays applied to cell studies in-vitro and in-vivo animal models. In addition, the candidate will be expected to support different projects in the lab. This position is for the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
