Assistant or Associate Professor of Enology
Iowa State University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Enology (tenure-eligible) in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences located in Ames, Iowa. The position responsibilities are 55% extension and outreach, 40% research, and 5% teaching. The position will work closely with the Midwest Grape and Wine Industry Institute (MGWII). PhD or equivalent degree by start date in a discipline supportive of the job responsibilities, experience in wine production, and demonstrated ability to conduct research in enology are required. In addition to the previously stated required qualifications, candidates for consideration at the rank of Associate Professor must meet university standards for appointment commensurate with such rank, including a strong research record as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, successful grant funding, and experience with college-level teaching and or/extension education.
