Louisiana is a key state with a critical interest in nutrient management with contributions of Mississippi River’s drainage basin in the Gulf of Mexico’s hypoxic zone. Through the adoption of best management practices, agricultural producers can play a key role in the reduction of chemicals and pollutants reaching the waters of the United States. Areas of soil health, agricultural nutrient management, and water quality have been identified as high priorities for adoption in agricultural production. Ideal candidates will have strong communications and intrapersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and part of a team. The primary office will be in Baton Rouge with the LSU AgCenter.

Salary and Benefits: The salary will be based on degrees and experience. The position is funded for one year with the possibility of four years of additional funding.
