Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education is accepting applications for part-time instructors. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses delivered by the department. The maximum teaching load is four courses per semester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching face-to-face and/or online theoretical courses in any of our program areas, agribusiness, applied economics, and agriscience education, attending training sessions with departmental faculty, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education supports over 140 undergraduate majors and 70 graduate students along with providing general education in the areas of agribusiness, applied economics and agriscience education.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Applied Economics and/or Agriscience Education or related fields at the time of application.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Candidates with 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level and with background in Agribusiness Management, Applied Economics or Agricultural Education are preferred.
