Position: Sustainable Food Systems Resource Specialist – East Alabama
Location: College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences/TUCEP

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with organization and reporting under the TUCE Sustainable Food Systems Program
Assist with supervising undergraduate students and/or interns in various community development projects
Provide county and local leadership in providing assessments/reports on Food Systems in the Alabama Black Belt
Organize/Support the coalition of growers, markets, and consumers around sustainable solutions to food insecurity
Organize/Support the deployment of consistent TUCE demonstrations and workshops related to Sustainable Food Systems
Participate in CAENS, CISC, TUCE Integrated Research and Extension programs and other Departmental activities as requested
Perform other duties as assigned by the Extension Administrator or Associate Dean for Extension
Qualifications
Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ work experience with special emphasis in crop production technology
Ability to work with faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders
Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
Ability to work with faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders
Ability to work as a team
Salary
Commensurate with education, training, and experience: Salary is contingent upon outside funding.
