Lecturer:

A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Land Administration or Land Management or a related qualification with at least four years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing undergraduate programmes. Ability to Engage in outreach and knowledge diffusion activities as well as support the capacity building actions in line with the departmental strategies. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, supervision of students (research) at Honours level, teaching experience as well as a relevant Doctorate will be an advantage.

Senior Lecturer:

A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Land Administration or Land Management or a related qualification with at least six years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Proven competence in successful sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects, curriculum development and strong management / organisational and mentorship skills. Ability to engage in outreach and knowledge diffusion activities as well as support the capacity building actions in line with departmental strategies. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing academic programmes. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, programme coordination, as well as supervision of research students at both under- and postgraduate levels.
