The University of Minnesota’s Department of Forest Resources seeks outstanding applicants for a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position focused on forest regeneration dynamics. The successful candidate will build a nationally recognized research program that advances fundamental knowledge critical to establishing, maintaining, and improving forest regeneration and productivity, develop tools and techniques related to adaptive forest management for a changing climate, and support the viability, health, resilience, and function of forest ecosystems and the forest sector regionally and nationally. The position is in the Department of Forest Resources located on the St. Paul Campus. The successful candidate will have access to office and laboratory space in the department with access to Research and Outreach Centers across Minnesota. The position is available beginning August 2026, with review of applications beginning December 8, 2025.
