The Departments of Family & Consumer Sciences/Extension Family & Consumer Sciences at New Mexico State University announces an opening for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Food Bioprocessing. This is a 9‐month tenure‐track position with 50% research, 10% Extension, and 40% teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an integrated research, teaching and Extension program in bioprocessing with a focus on value-added food and fiber manufacturing, while supporting student recruitment and retention efforts and effectively contributing to agriculture and science literacy efforts; develop an outreach program to the NM food and bioprocessing industry and will provide workforce training to clientele in the state and region. A Ph.D. in Food Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Ag Engineering, Biological Engineering, or closely related field in hand by date of hire is required.
