**This is a one year limited term position and is funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.**

The individual in this position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining research trials related to cotton and soybean breeding in Alabama. The individual will be expected to manage field aspects of research trials.
 
Minimum Qualifications
 
Level I Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or closely related field at the time employment begins. No experience required.

Level II Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or closely related field at the time employment begins PLUS (2) years of relevant work experience in crop science/plant breeding research practices and protocols.

Level III Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or closely related field at the time employment begins PLUS (4) years of relevant work experience in crop science/plant breeding research practices and protocols.

Level IV Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or closely related field at the time employment begins PLUS (6) years of relevant work experience in crop science/plant breeding research practices and protocols.

Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
 
 
Frequent travel throughout the state of Alabama will be required.
