Job Summary
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for the daily management and care of animals at the Stanley P. Wilson Beef Teaching Unit, Beef Evaluation Center, Long Leaf Property, and the North Auburn location at Auburn University.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide daily management and care of animals; manage and maintain all records required; maintain the presentation of the cattle production areas to a high standard according to IACUC protocols; assist faculty members with laboratory and teaching activities; provide technical support for research and extension activities; maintain and operate equipment in a method that minimizes down time/repair and increases longevity and cost effectiveness; supply nutrition to mother cows to maintain BCS scores on an average range of 5-7; and perform other duties as assigned.
Education Level Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Field of Study
Management, Business, Agricultural Business, or Agricultural related fields.
