Primary Purpose of Position
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to conducting field and laboratory experiments to evaluate soil microbial carbon and nitrogen cycling, greenhouse gas emissions, and biological soil health indicators.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Soil Sustainability Lab in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
Minimum Requirements
This position requires a MS and/or PhD degree in one of the following fields: soil science, soil microbiology, microbial ecology, soil biogeochemistry
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Demonstrated research experience in soil DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR analysis, soil enzyme analysis, soil microcosm experiment, soil greenhouse gas.
