(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position, Continuation of appointment is dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)
Work Location: School of Renewable Natural Resources, Louisiana State University AgCenter, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Responsibilities: Research Associate needed for a project assessing secretive marshbird habitat relationships in coastal Louisiana. The Research Associate will assist in study design, study logistics (including locating housing, rental boats, training transient workers, etc.), data collection, data entry, data analysis and report writing. Substantial travel will be required.
Qualification Requirements: M.S. in Wildife and Fisheries or related scientific field. Applicant must have a strong record of field experience, avian research, motorboat operation, and technical writing. Must be able to work effectively in a group environment. Applicant must be able to obtain a Louisiana Driver’s License and drive state vehicles.
