Job Description: As an REA, you'll be based in one of the following counties: Marengo or Choctaw, working in a 100% non-tenure track faculty Extension assignment covering multiple counties.
Program Priority Area: Animal Science and Forages
Geographic Area: West Central Alabama Region (Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Choctaw, Marengo, Dallas, Wilcox counties).
Responsibilities:
- Organize, deliver, and evaluate educational programs for livestock, equine, and forage production.
- Focus on research-based management practices and their environmental and animal well-being impacts.
- Utilize various methods, including printed communication, workshops, applied research, farm consultation visits, social media, and web resources.
- Participate in writing grants and support applied research/demonstrations beneficial to clientele.
- Assist in project outcome and impact evaluations.
