POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position through 11/28/2023. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.)
 

Work Location: Red River Research Station, Bossier City, LA 


Position Description: This grant-funded position splits extension activities between a drought response project and a flood mitigation project, covering two sides of natural disaster education. This person will oversee web content and publication development, serve as the day-to-day lead for the outreach campaigns, and will focus on development of presentations and webinars, coordinate with Cooperative Extension Service agents and other stakeholders to promote awareness of the webtools, present project seminars, and travel to engage stakeholders. The Extension Associate will also liaise with AgCenter Communications staff. 

 

Qualification Requirements: The position requires a B.S. or M.S. in plant science, agriculture, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of extension education related to water resources and the green industry is highly desirable. 


Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
