    Risk Assessment / Aquatic Toxicology

    The School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (http://www.sfaas.auburn.edu) at Auburn University seeks to fill two positions. Both are tenure track and will be filled at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Successful candidates will develop externally funded research programs and teach courses discussed below. A PhD in an appropriate discipline and a strong publication record in aquatic chemistry, aquatic risk assessment, and/or aquatic toxicology are required at the time employment begins. Experience or the background to teach the courses, potential to attract funding, postdoctoral experience, and expertise that is complementary to current faculty members are also considerations. Salary and start-up funds are negotiable. The target start date is August 16, 2020 for both positions. Questions may be directed to the chairs of the search committees (listed below).     Aquatic Chemist - The School is interested in someone who will build a research program focused on aquatic contaminants and be interested in collaborating with other faculty members on a broad range of questions related to aquatic environments. Teaching expectations include the direction of graduate students, annually teaching our existing undergraduate course in Water Science, and an occasional course in aquatic contaminant chemistry (Search committee chair: Dr. Alan Wilson, wilson@auburn.edu ).     Risk Assessment / Aquatic Toxicology - The School is particularly interested in someone who will build a research program in risk assessment associated with aquatic systems. The successful candidate may be fully focused on risk assessment or also have expertise in aquatic toxicology. Teaching expectations include the direction of graduate students, a graduate course in aquatic risk assessment, and an additional course to be developed (Search committee chair: Dr. Jim Stoeckel, jas0018@auburn.edu).
