(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position for one year. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.)
Work Location: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Position Description: The research associate position will support and engage in ongoing research activities at the Louisiana State University AgCenter, focusing on wood durability research and testing technology.
Qualification Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in Forestry, Material Science, or a closely related discipline, experience of working with wood durability testing, evidence of quantitative skills and experience in technical writing, proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in the field of wood durability analysis with field testing experience. Note the successful candidate will be housed in the School of Renewable Natural Resources (this position is not eligible for remote work) at Louisiana State University.
