    DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:



    This is a full-time, tenure track faculty position for the Agriculture Business, Agriculture Science, Natural Resources, and Environmental Horticulture programs. The Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Department is committed to excellence in lower division education toward certificates, Associate of Science Degrees, transfers, and job placement for our majors. The faculty work closely to support each other and our goal of student success. We seek a well-rounded general Agriculture Instructor with a strong background in teaching who also possesses the ability to work closely with our industry partners and advisory committees. 
     
    POSITION DUTIES:
    In addition to the responsibilities of the classification description, the specific position is also responsible for:



    1. Teaching a full academic load in agriculture programs. 

    2. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with maintaining all student records, evaluating student transcripts, and maintaining positive relationships with people involved in the agriculture industry, and with professional organizations involved in the different aspects of the industry. 

    3. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with maintaining, reviewing, and updating the curricula and the preparation of course offerings. 

    4. Participate in Department activities such as Butte College farm governance, FFA field days, and student recruitment and outreach.
