    POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT


    This is a grant funded non-tenure track position. Continuation of employment will be dependent on funding availability, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.


    Work Location: This position will be housed at the Louisiana State University AgCenter – Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department.


    Position Description: The successful candidate will have research experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams toward research in the field of nanodelivery systems. Primary job requirements include performing nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, as well as testing. In addition to individual research, the post-doctoral researcher will assist graduate students in their research, will contribute to research proposal writing for external funding, present at national conferences, write reports for research projects, and write manuscripts for publication in refereed journals.


    Qualification Requirements: The position requires a Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering or a closely related field. Additional requirements include experience mentoring graduate students, working in teams, and successfully receiving grant support. Knowledge and skills in organization, time management, and data management are essential. The successful candidate must have acceptable written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.


    Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
