His research focuses on the global food and natural resource systems, fisheries and aquaculture economics and policy, markets and international trade. Recent work has been directed toward the role of seafood in food security, constraints to aquaculture development, and evaluating how aquaculture and well-designed public-private partnerships are changing global natural resource use in both developed and developing nations.
