Expertise: Julio´s expertise is in quantitative genetics and crop physiology. We have expertise on the implementation of genomic selection to improve genetic gain in small grains for the improvement of yield, nutritional traits, abiotic stress, and disease resistance. We also are interested on phenomics, crop water, nutrient uptake, agronomic practices and the development of molecular markers and their application towards cultivar development.
