My research interests fall within the broad categories of behavioral ecology and conservation biology. Most recently, I have been studying infant development and parental care in a species in which all adult group members help to care for the young. I am also developing a program to more fully integrate my study species' (the golden lion tamarin) ecological requirements with community-level economic incentives for a stable and successful model of forest reserve management in southeastern Brazil.
