My research is focused on the development of observation and monitoring techniques (based on GIS/Remote Sensing) to understand physical and biological dynamics in time and space. I address variables and methodologies that are relevant to efficient ecosystem management, plant physiology and/or ecological studies. I apply techniques in geodatabase design and analysis; hyperspectral, multispectral and high-spatial resolution image analysis, time-series trend analysis, geostatistics and spatial modeling.
I welcome students interested in developing skills in GIS and remote sensing for natural resource management, and research collaborators in biological sciences, human sciences and computing sciences.
