Research efforts center on termites and ants, the two most diverse and economically important groups of social insects in urban environment. Principal research interests include aspects of the biology, behavior and physiological ecology, and development of novel technologies for IPM. Recent fundamental researches focus on host range, developmental plasticity, learning and agonistic behavior, temperature tolerances, embryonic development, and chemical receptor identification aiming at understanding their demographics and social structure.
