His current research program: 1) to identify farming systems and individual management practices that maximize grain production and minimize nutrient and pesticide losses off fields; 2) to understand the processes that impact fate and transport of agrichemicals; and 3) to spatially measure soil and landscape properties that impact crop production to develop improved methods for agrichemical inputs. His research is being conducted on claypan and alluvial soils of Missouri.
