The postdoctoral research associate will conduct research on a project aiming to determine how to plant secondary metabolites drive fungal endophyte community diversity. The employee will work in collaboration with a team of 3-4 members. More specifically, the postdoctoral research associate will perform metabolomic analyses to identify/quantify secondary compounds in leaves of Rubiaceae, and metabolites produced during fungal-fungal interactions. In addition, the employee will assist in training students, and preparing manuscripts/presentations. This work is part of a larger collaborative project funded by the National Science Foundation.

- 6 years education and experience in the field of plant microbe interaction.
- Prior experience with at least two of the following approaches, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is required.
