The Department of Integrative Agriculture seeks to fill a position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor with teaching and research responsibilities in the area of Aquaponics (Aquaculture and Hydroponics). The successful candidate must develop a competitive and internationally visible research program in Aquaculture and Hydroponics. The individual will manage, expand, and advance aquaponic systems in the college and apply cutting edge developments for establishing a state-of-the-art facility for research, education and training. The candidate will develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, mentor M.S. and Ph.D. students, and maintain high level of research productivity.
Applicants must have a PhD in aquaculture, aquaponics, hydroponics or allied areas.
Postdoctoral experience is desirable and industrial experience in aquaponics production is preferred. A proven track record of research as evident from extramural research funding and impactful publications is essential. Experience in graduate mentoring and undergraduate teaching is expected.
Capability to develop model systems for industry and small- scale farmers is desirable. Experience in technology transfer and extension activities will be an added advantage.
